Whitney Oertwich

I have always been passionate about helping people and caring for others. I began my nursing career working in orthopedics, medical-surgical care, and pediatrics. When an opportunity opened in labor and delivery, I eagerly stepped into the role and quickly discovered my love for supporting women during one of the most meaningful moments of their lives.
Driven by a desire to care for women beyond childbirth, I returned to school to earn my midwifery license. This allowed me to support women through all stages of life while building trusting, compassionate relationships rooted in education, advocacy, and individualized care. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where women feel heard, empowered, and respected.
I am a mother of four and enjoy spending time outdoors with my children and cheering them on at their sporting events. After practicing in Des Moines for several years, I recently returned home to Nebraska. I am deeply grateful to be back and honored to serve a community that truly feels like home.
